Where to Eat: A Guide to Dining at Perfect Day at CocoCay

Perfect Day at CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's private island in the Bahamas. Whether you need a quick snack or a full meal, there are plenty of options of where to eat. Continue reading to learn more about your dining options.

Snack Shack is a popular grab and go spot at Perfect Day at CocoCay. Snack Shack’s most popular menu item is hands down the crispy chicken sandwich. No worries, as there are lots of other items you can order. Pro tip: if you order the chicken sandwich get a side of mozzarella sticks and put them on the sandwich like you would other condiments. It’s really good. Our family always gets the mozzarella sticks and the small funnel cakes. Snack Shack tends to open up earlier than the larger buffets. If you have members of your traveling party get an early lunch at Snack Shack and then a later lunch at the buffets.

Speaking of buffets, there are two of them on the island: Chill Grill and Skipper’s Grill. If you are not sure where to eat, head to one of these buffets. Chill Grill is the largest restaurant at Perfect Day at Coco Cay and both buffets have a lot of options. Make sure to get grilled corn. For the main dish, I recommend the hamburgers or a mini Philly cheese steak. You can also get salads, fruit, and other dishes. Don’t forget to treat yourself to the delicious self service ice cream. It is located near the beverage station. Want to level up your ice cream? Grab two cookies from the buffet, head to the ice cream station and make yourself an ice cream sandwich. It is delicious. Both locations can get crowded, I recommend one member of your party save a table while the others go through the buffet. The good news is that several of the tables do have shade.

Captain Jack's

Captain Jack’s is great and has some fun hanging rope swings near the bar to get you in the island vibe. Capitan Jack's overlooks Harbor Beach. This location is most famous for the wings and the sauces. Pro tip: try the TLC (tequila, lime and chipotle) sauce. Please note there is an additional cost and items are a la carte.

Guests who purchased a day pass to the Coco Beach Club have access to the Coco Beach Club Restaurant. The food here is going to be more elegant/refined than the rest of the island with elevated contemporary Mediterranean flavors. You can get items like lobster, grouper, and more. Passes to Coco Beach club can sell out – it is recommended to purchase shortly after your cruise is booked with Markwood Magic. Pro tip: Reserve the over the water cabana and you will have your food delivered to you and your traveling party!

Swim Up Bar

For bars – there are two I recommend the most. There is a floating bar at South Beach that is a must visit because then you can say you have had a drink at the floating bar. It is not that far from the shore and you can get water there if you don’t drink. There is another bar at Oasis Lagoon that is a swim up bar. That bar does get crowded in the summer months, but it is a fun concept.
