Top 5 Activities for Women Onboard Norwegian Viva

Girls trip anyone? Or maybe just some ‘me’ time on the family vacation onboard Norwegian Viva? This article will showcase the top 5 activities for women onboard the Norwegian Viva. Full disclaimer: I was invited as a guest of Norwegian for the Christening sailing of Norwegian Viva. Opinions in this article are mine.

There are a lot of treatment options to choose from

1.       The Mandara Spa.

On my second day on the cruise we toured the beautiful spa onboard Norwegian Viva.  It was the biggest spa I have been on while cruising. Depending on the sailing there are usually day passes and week long passes you can get as well as individual treatment options. My favorite feature was the beautiful two story waterfall. As with most cruise spas, there is plenty of heated loungers where I felt I was melting with relaxation into the lounger. There are multiple rooms for solo and couple treatments that look very inviting.

2.       Pulse Fitness Center.

What I found the most unique of the Pulse Fitness Center is their room for Spin. While the curtains are closed for this picture, they can be opened for a pretty view. And yes, Norwegian will provide footwear to use with their bikes. Do you like to excercise when on vacation? While there is not a cost to use the gym, do note that there is an additional cost for classes.

3.       Norwegian Speedway.

Norwegian is known for having racetracks onboard and Norwegian Viva continues that legacy. There is a three story race track. The race track is unique to Norwegian Cruise Lines. Look at the schedule as there are times allocated for single riders and double riders. At the end there is a cute platform for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Sometimes it is nice to get a bit of an adrenaline rush while you are on vacation.

4.       Indulge Food Hall.

I could not get enough of the food at Indulge. This is one of the complimentary restaurants you can eat at. You order your food from a tablet on the table and various staff will bring the food to you. Everything I tried here was really good. The only food you cannot order at the table is dessert, but the dessert stations are not that far from your table.  Pro tip: order items from different venues and get here early. It is very popular. I actually prefer the food here more than Hudson’s.

5.       The Stadium The Stadium is a ton of games like pickleball, the craziest version of ping-pong I have ever seen, foosball, beer-pong, and more. You should give subsoccer a try. I had never heard of this before going on the cruise. It might look a bit odd, but it is a lot of fun. You sit on a bench. Under the bench is the goal. You kick a soccer ball while sitting on the bench. The table has a clear top so you can see the ball and it keeps the ball contained. It is so much fun. You can be very athletic, or not athletic at all and have a great time.
