AmaWaterways Cruises: Background

​Welcome to the AmaWaterways.  I absolutely love recommending AmaWaterways to my clients. I book this line most often for milestone celebrations (like birthdays and anniversaries) as well as multigenerational groups for the Christmas Markets. AmaWaterways is known for their luxurious ships, incredible locally sourced dining, and focus on the experience. I feel they offer a truly premium vacation. They are famous for their signature twin balcony staterooms, giving you incredible views of the passing scenery which expanding the cabin space inside as well. Its a great blend between the two.

Magical Holiday and Christmas Market Cruises

AmaWaterways is well know for their holiday river cruises in Europe. They decorate the ship for the holidays better than any other river cruise line. Did you know that AmaWaterways does an Easter Egg hunt onboard during an Easter Market Cruise or that you should leave your shoes outside your stateroom for a fun surprise on a Christmas Market Cruise. Just a note: these holiday sailings do sell out pretty quick so it is best to reserve these cabins as soon as possible.

Breathtaking Global River Cruise Itineraries
While they are incredibly popular for sailing the historic rivers of Europe like the Rhine and the Danube, AmaWaterways is also a fantastic luxury cruise line for exploring destinations across the entire world. They are the only line currently sailing in Colombia. They also cruise in the Chobe River in Africa,  Mekong River in Asia, and Nile River in Egypt.

A Great Choice For Multigenerational Family Travel

AmaWaterways is one of the few lines that have connecting cabins on some of their ships. For example, the AmaKristina features six pairs of connecting staterooms, 12 staterooms that accommodate 3 guests and four suites accommodating four guests. This is very unique and makes AmaWaterways stand out for multigenerational families. Do note that they do not have children specific programming onboard. However it makes a great choice when you have a multigenerational group.
