Younger Demographic for River Cruising

Avalon stands out with a younger demographic who tends to be more active for river cruising for two reasons. First is the Avalon After Dark program. You can enjoy a Sky Grill dinner on warmer nights, and enjoy the Panorama Lounge with live music, karaoke, trivia nights, and impromptu dance parties. They also have overnight docking at several ports so you can enjoy the nightlife in Europe.

 

The second is Active and Discovery cruises. These specialized cruises have more selection of activates like biking, painting like Van Gogh, and cooking regional cruising in a local kitchen.

Fantastic Culinary Experiences Onboard

I really enjoyed the food onboard Avalon View. Pro tip: You need to get the home made ice cream. You will thank me later. The choice of food on the menu is great and as a note: the food will vary based on the region you are sailing in. And yes, there is afternoon tea for those who enjoy a little treat. If you prefer to eat with just your travel companion you can get room service for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner.

The beds onboard Avalon

Two things really stood out to me when I stayed onboard Avalon View. First was that the bedding was very comfortable. Second is that their Signature Panamera Suites have the beds facing the balcony. You can close your eyes and just image opening up the curtains from your pillow and watching the river and beautiful scenery glide past. I really like this Open Air Balcony concept.
