A Dream Come True: Multigenerational Vacations at Walt Disney World® Resort

Updated: Aug 10, 2023

Having a multigenerational vacation is a dream come true for many of my travelers. Walt Disney World® is truly the perfect, multi-generational trip! Where are my top 5 reasons why:

Alien Swirling Saucers at Disney's Hollywood Studios

1. Disney through another lens: For parents and grandparents alike, there is nothing more exciting than experiencing Walt Disney World ® through the eyes of their grandchildren at any age. Watching their eyes light up as they interact with their favorite character or favorite ride is priceless.

2. Family pictures with everybody in them:

When is the last time you had a multigenerational photo where everybody was in it? Family holiday dinners usually end up with one person let out. Let Disney take the family pictures with iconic backgrounds such as Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom Theme Park or The Tree of Life of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom ® Theme Park. Disney PhotoPass® service photographers take fantastic pictures and are positioned throughout the parks. How much fun would it be to have your next family portrait with a magic shot in it? For those that do not know, a magic shot is when a character magically appears into the photo. When you buy Memory Maker, you can download all the pictures – including the ride ones!

3. Food:

From the pickiest of eaters to travelers with a refined palate, there is food that everybody will enjoy. When traveling with family, have each member order something different so you can try different foods - from decadent crème burlee at Chef de France to comforting Grandma’s Mac n Cheese at 50s Prime Time café. Bonus: When you book with me, I will offer dining suggestions based on your family’s likes and dislikes. Want to extend the food memories once you are back home? Make Mickey Waffles and buy Mickey Ice Cream Bars.

4. Disney Resorts:

Staying on property allows your multigenerational family to be always in the magic. I recommend building in an extra ‘resort only’ day to enjoy time playing in the pool, trivia, or a walk around the resort. If somebody in your family needs a rest mid-day, your resort provides the perfect place to rest and recharge. Love always being together? Some resorts with up to 3 bedrooms villa’s that can sleep up to 12 people! Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has a treehouse villa that sleeps up to 9 adults. If your family prefers separate rooms, I can book that for you too.

5. Creating memories and strengthening the family bond.

Walt Disney World ® Resort has an atmosphere perfect for creating memories for all generations. As the children grow, they can remember the smells on Soarin’ Around the World while holding their grandparents’ hand, or anytime they watch Frozen, they will remember meeting Anna with their parents and grandparents with them. All the family members will look back and smile on their magical vacation. Have your family get matching or similar shirts. For the children – get a size bigger than what they normally wear. After vacation anytime a family member wears that shirt, they will remember the grand time they had.

When you are ready for your next multi-generational Vacation – I would love to help!
